Placement Mobile Technologies 5 months
SFR is the second French Mobile Operator. It is part of Vodafone Group.
I worked on the SFR Instant Messaging platform. The aim was to design and implement a QoS solution between SFR platform, Orange IM and Windows Live Messenger IM.
- I managed to find some fit companies who could develop the software.
- I designed the test scenarios.
- I managed the project.
- I developed a PHP application in order to produce usage statistic.
Marketing and Communication placement - 3 months
Leon Paul Equipment is a fencing equipment company which has 70% of the fencing market in the UK.
During this placement I have realised E-Marketing and IT activities.
- I've designed the Leon Paul French web site www.leonpaulfrance.com with which the brand will be introduced on the french market by selling goods online.
- I've built an online questionnaire, thanks to dynamic languages and databases technologies.
- I've set up their new Local Area Network with Proxy, File Server, Firewall, Internet Gateway, Users restrictions... under Linux.
Networks' Technologies placement - 2,5 months
Alcatel provides communications solutions to telecommunication carriers, for delivery of voice, data and video applications to their customers or employees.
- Network analysis with Sniffer, Ethereal...
- Conception and creation of a reporting software for network incidents.
- Setting up of virtual servers using VMware products.
Accounting placement - 2,5 months
Group Banque Populaire is the third most important bank in France. Training period of 2 months carried out in the Accounts Department:
- Data Analysis and databases improvements.
- Statistic comparison between the new data and the old database.
- Conception and Realization of an interface with Microsoft Access in order to check data in the data-warehouse easily.
- Stock management.
- Provisioning electronic components placement machines.
The Automobile division of the business group handles design, manufacture and marketing of vehicles. Alpine is the factory which products sport vehicles. Activities realised during a training period of 2 months:
- Studies and resolutions of quality problems which cost a lot of money to the factory.
- Automobile assembly on chain in order to discover the job of workman.
